The DeSantis War Room’s pithy response to a tweet from the White House went viral after Musk weighed in.
Ron DeSantis and Elon Musk made another splash on Twitter together in response to a tweet from the White House.
On Monday, the White House posted a video with President Biden’s voice narrating as images of rainbow-colored lights danced off the iconic building.
“These are our kids. These are our neighbors.” Biden began. “Not somebody else’s kids, they’re all our kids. And our children are the kite strings that hold our national ambitions aloft. It matters a great deal how we treat everyone in this country.
“LGBTQ Americans, especially children: you are loved, you are heard and this administration has your back.”
The DeSantis War Room responded to the president’s claims that “These are our kids. Not somebody else’s kids, they’re all our kids,” by stating simply:
“They are not your kids.”
Musk responded to the DeSantis War Room tweeted with a short message, writing: “Our kids are not fodder for the government.” The tech mogul’s no-nonsense rejection of the Biden regime’s ideology racked up over 2 million views within 24 hours.
The Twitter CEO also replied directly to the White House tweet, posting: “You are the government. They are NOT your kids.” That tweet garnered 7.5 million views in just 14 hours.
Musk’s tweets were posted just three minutes apart from one another late Tuesday evening.
Last month, Musk interviewed DeSantis via Twitter Spaces as part of the governor’s official 2024 presidential campaign launch. The online conversation was live streamed to more than 6.5 million listeners.
