Recently, Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee released hours of transcribed interviews with two IRS whistleblowers. I want to share with you an update on what they found.
In the 14 hours of transcribed interviews, the IRS whistleblowers testified that President Biden knew about Hunter Biden’s corrupt foreign business deals and was in the room for them. The testimony also outlines misconduct and government abuse at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the investigation of Hunter Biden. According to the second IRS whistleblower’s supplemental submission, the FD-1023 form alleging then-Vice-president Biden and Hunter Biden received $5 million each as part of a bribery scheme with a Burisma executive was not shared with tax investigators. The whistleblower emphasized it would have been relevant to the investigation since they had email correspondence from May 2014 referencing a $5 million payment.
The whistleblowers testimony indicates Hunter Biden received special treatment from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and IRS during their investigation into possible money laundering, bribery, and human trafficking charges. This bombshell report came only days after Hunter Biden entered a sweetheart plea agreement with federal prosecutors from Biden’s DOJ.
I applaud Chairman Comer for his thoughtful and thorough approach to this investigation and am confident he will not cave to political pressure as we pursue the full extent of information and accountability. Government accountability and transparency are among my top priorities, and I will continue doing my part to ensure that President Biden and his Administration are held accountable for not enforcing federal law and abusing their powers.
