CONG. WEBSTER SALUTES OUR VETERANS ON VETERANS DAY

For generations, millions of Americans have answered the call to serve in the U.S. military. No matter how much the world has changed, no matter how different we fight today, one truth remains: American soldiers are men and women of valor.

There is no doubt that America’s fighting men and women – and their loved ones – have given much to ensure that our great nation stays free. They have shown a level of courage and commitment to their nation beyond any measure. From securing our homeland to advancing the cause of freedom, I recognize that all of our veterans have selflessly given of themselves to this country. Let us never take for granted our blessings of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, for they have not come cheaply.

We owe our service members, both past and present, a debt we can never repay.

I am committed to ensuring that those who have already sacrificed so much for this country receive what they were promised when they entered our nation’s service. My staff and I seek to work diligently on behalf of our veterans and are here to provide assistance. I can often intervene on a person’s behalf to answer questions, find solutions, or simply attempt to cut through the red tape. Working with liaisons and County Veteran Service offices on veterans’ behalf, my office has gotten nearly $15 million returned to veterans by the federal government in compensation, pension, and other retroactive payments.

If you or a veteran you know needs assistance with an issue before the VA, please contact my office. We are here to serve you.

Your servant,

Daniel Webster
Member of Congress
